Our furniture is handmade by skilled artisans: woodworkers, blacksmiths and upholsterers. Each one of our products is a unique piece, revealing its character through the quality of its finishing: hand-polished welds, hand-selected and applied veneers, hand-streched and sewn leather. Our workshops are located in the European Union, in Bucharest.
WOOD, STEEL, LEATHER & GLASS
We use only the finest materials: real wood veneers (oak, american walnut, wenge), beech plywood, cold-rolled steel, premium cow leather, tempered glass. The delicate finishes allow these materials to fully express their character: feel the woodgrain, observe the discrete weld marks, touch the overstitching and sensuous padding.
PARISIAN DESIGN
Alex de Rouvray is a Parisian furniture designer and manufacturer. Our store is located on 23 rue Mayet in the 6th arrondissement. Trained at Stanford University and l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers in Paris, Alex de Rouvray’s designs have clean, minimal lines, combined with rich and expressive materials and finishes: real wood veneers, cold-rolled steel, premium leather and tempered glass. Jean-Michel Frank, Pierre Chareau, Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier are his inspirators. Beginning with the Severin Line, awarded the prestigious Label de L’Observeur du Design in 2014, all the way to the Mayet Line, born in 2018, his furniture is composed of integrated product families, with a unique style underlined by common features and shapes.
